Poor Millennials.

I remember what it was like to be young. I couldn't get a job because I didn't have experience. Old folks telling me how much harder they had it growing up.

The money and experience come with age. Enjoy your youth. You're only young once.

I love how they act high and mighty because they can work the technology they grew up with. I would love to see a couple of them go start a 1923 ford model T

Talk about a useless skill

That's the reason younger people don't take your generation and your opinions seriously

First off not my generation. Secondly you completely missed the point. Baby boomers grew up around 1923 T's so starting one is second nature to them. Just like millennials grew up around computers so they are second nature to them. Lastly just because you find it useless doesn't mean it is useless. I have had to start many old cars thru out the years. So it was actually a money making skill for me.

I had a discussion with a millennial. He was upset because he worked two jobs and couldn't afford a two-bedroom apartment. I laughed in his face.

I'm a baby boomer. My first job after I graduated high school paid $1.60 per hour. At that pay, I couldn't afford to leave home. I also couldn't afford a car, so I had to hitchhike to and from work. I worked evenings, and got out at 2AM.

When I was finally earning enough to buy a car, I was also able to rent a room. At a boarding house, with a rude, nasty, and distrustful landlady. As my pay increased, I was able to afford a succession of better and better studio apartments. Ironically, I was not able to "afford" multiple rooms until I was homeless, and squatting in an abandoned house.

Some friends helped me move to Massachusetts, where again I was renting a room. A few months later, I found a job, and was able to rent a two-room apartment (kitchen/living room and bedroom). A year later, I got a small raise, which was just big enough for me to afford a two-bedroom apartment.

This took me over a decade. And millennials expect a two-bedroom apartment right out of school, with their first job. Yes, they are an entitled, demanding lot. They do not understand what real life is like.

Also ask them why you should keep a fresh book of matches and an unopened Coke in the glove compartment of a '55 Chevy.

Hmm You laugh, but you don't seem to recall your history. Only the middle class and up could afford new cars. So being that WWII caused a car shortage as very few cars were produced in the 40's most the nation retained cars from the 20's and 30'. As the car production got going again the rich and middle class bought the new cars and the old cars went to the lower middle class and the poor. So yes a whole lot of baby boomers grew up around them. Hell my dad even owned a few as it was all he could afford as a teenager.
