People don't have to role play, they just need to be here to vote and make 3 posts. Easy enough. The game is better for all players if everyone actually plays. When people don't vote (i.e. play), it hurts the Villagers 95% of the time and kind of makes it seem like a waste of time and effort by the game host. I mean, if someone takes the time and effort to host a game, the least people can do is actually play it.

Seriously, I agree that people need to actually post in the game. Unless you get killed in the first night round, making three posts should be a piece of cake.

Well I'll just say mOOse did not agree to what I had recommended be done to those who don't participate, although he did understand my point of view on the matter. So this is really a compromise that actually gives the players the benifit of the doubt, but at the same time makes note of those who don't play.

Having people playing makes the game more enjoyable for all. There have quite a few games where people were playing and a few were not. So, the people who were playing ended up losing just because a few people could not make the effort to play. I personally don't care which Team wins a game, just as long as the game is fun and enjoyable.

Exactly, but the key point is for people to vote. A person is not gonna get dumped on just because they miss 1 vote or maybe even 2. Most games last about 7 days, so being able to make 5 votes and 3 other posts in that period of time should be a piece of cake.

We see eye to eye on this. There is always another game to be played and win/loss doesn't mean a lick. Those who host games put considerable effort into it. We honor and respect that effort through active participation. It's for the good of the game.

hey everybody im really sry about not playing in the last game..i got called up early for AT(Annual Training)...and ive been working 16hrs+ everday for the last 5days straight..i feel bad about not playing cuz i hate it when some1 signs up then just shames out on the game...im really sry guys and i promsie i wont sign up unless i know i can play the whole game

OK I thought about it.

I don't like it for the very same reason as killing off a player in the game, it hurts the team the person is playing on. Voting in the game is so close sometimes that this one single vote against a nonparticipating player could do the very thing I don't want, kill off a player.

The point of the nonparticipation rule is to weed out people from playing in future games that don't really participate in any way. This way, the only people playing will be those who do participate and new players. If we kept letting people play who don't participate, it does not cure the problem and just makes it less enjoyable for players.

I like the rational behind this new rule.

I cannot guarantee I will be able to get on line every day, and it has messed up more than one game...

So as much as I love these games, I won't play untill I know I will be able to do so.
