Good day to you, fellow forum members

This is mostly the same as last time, but with a few additions at the bottom.
I'm here today to remind you all of a rule that we've been kinda relaxed about lately. Your signature size! They're basically an extension of your avatar and can express just that little bit more. Yay! I'm sure this isn't the first forum you've ever been to. So, in your travels around the internet, you should have come across a forum or two where the rules about the signature were very lax, to almost non-existent. In viewing one of these threads you end up downloading not only the actual content (gallery/video) but signature images that are bigger than a thumbnail and sometimes repeated. These massive signatures tend to dwarf responses, an example;
Damn she's hot! The third pic is

. Thanks for the post!

That's a prime example of what we don't want to end up with. Several posts in one page with massive signatures.
This is a better size;
Massive signatures are a problem if you're posting multiple times within the one page. Remember, everyone has to look at your signature over and over every time you post.
So, in the interest of a happy and harmonious forum, we ask you to keep your signature image within the size requirements. The newer and slightly bigger requirement is now
550 pixels Wide and
120 pixels High and
70kb. If you only have text in your signature, please do not exceed
6 lines.
If you want a banner and text above/under, the banner should be about 18-20 pixels shorter.
If you want to use big text, it should still not exceed the guide image below. Just line it up against what you've got and adjust.
So, stand-alone banner, banner and text or big text, it should not exceed these dimensions:
After a day or two if we find that your signature is still exceeding the limit you will receive a private message asking you to change it.
Finally, i know these types of people won't even bother to look here or bother to find out, but it may as well be said. Do not include affiliate links in your signature. We know what they look like, they will be deleted. We aren't here to up your hit count or earn you 1 cent per click. We also frown upon people advertising their business.
