i'm iinsanely proud of my girlfriend and the hours of work she puts into her physique. it's a turn on just talkin' bout her but she's been dying for a boob job for awhile. She is obsessive in a good way about fitness and she has the most incredible body already. She is known throughout the town as "the girl with the ass". She has modeled some in the past and has always attracted attention. She has won best body and best butt contests. Heads turn everywhere we go. i say no way she needs them. she looks awesome and i know of one woman who was scarred forever from surgery. it's a little scary. how do i tell my gal not to do it? i like big boobs but i like a healthy happy girlfriend much more. worried. A new friend of hers that she works out with is this asian american 22 year old who works at hooters. The girl approached her and was ver complimentary saying how stunning she was and asked what my girl did for her glutes and legs which she said are amazing. This girl recntly had implants about a year ago. This girl is incredible and i won't lie i stared a bit at them when I picked my girl up at the gym and she was there. My girlfriend told me she asked her some questions about the girl's implants and she's giving her a bunch of information. Any advice on how to approach this?

Just voice your concerns and tell her you love her the way she is. Make sure you tell her to get ALL the information from a professional and not just her friend, and remind her that it's not a one time thing - they have to be replaced every 10 years or so, blah, blah, blah.
And I agree with Iso, if it's something she really wants after getting all the info and hearing your concerns about it, then you have to support her in it.

I'd address the psychology behind her reasoning. First of all, obsession is NEVER a good thing. Ever.

If she wants breast implants, she might feel inadequate about herself in some way.

Ultimately, I think your best bet to express that you'll love her whether or not she decides to get implants. If you take a hard line against her, you'll just be pushing her closer toward implants.

Here's another thought... perhaps you might consider hearing her out on the idea. Keep in mind this is her body and you have no right to tell her what she can do with it.

Talk to her and find out why she thinks she needs them
If its because she feels inadequate tell her she shouldn't be ashamed of how she looks especially if she works as hard as you say to stay in shape.
Tell her how you feel about it but don't draw a line whatever you do, its still her choice in the end and you should indeed let her know ether way you'll still be there for her

Don't hurt to add that you love her for her and not her body also

For starters, see what everyone else has said RE: Her choice.

Second: If she caught you checking out the asian with the fake tits, chances are it didn't help.

Third: You've stated how you feel about it. You do not have to support her getting implants, contrary to what others have said, but you do NOT need to be unsupportive either. I'd suggest ignoring the issue. If she asks for your opinion, reiterate your point nicely- and finish with "but I won't stand in the way of your choices, if you feel this is something you have to do, I will not love you any less for doing it."

You don't have to support a decision you disagree with, but you shouldn't keep badgering her with your opinion either- and *if* your feelings for her will change because she gets implants, then you may need to re-evaluate your feelings for her.

Okay, what's missing from your post? Hint: It's about her.

Her reasons for wanting to get them!!!! I know this seems obvious but good questions often are. To be in a position to make your opinion matter you have to show her that you understand how she feels. She may be trying to tell you something completely different or she may just want to buy dresses off the rack. She might not know why and she won't get to know why until she explores it.

Once you make your initial position and feelings clear without building a this-is-my-opinion-and-I'm-not-changing-it wall she'll run to share with you. You build a wall and she'll have to find someone else to talk to. Or she won't find someone and that's worse.

Of course it's a self-esteem thing but everyone has those. She might just want to dream about being someone else for a while. Be a fucking girl a little. I know, I know.

In a nutshell my advice is stop trying to tell her something and "gawdamnitopenurfukineeers". The more you disagree with what she says the more questions you should ask. Then think. Then think some more. Then talk.
