Great they caught the guy and took him away, sadly here in the UK the police are so understaffed and overworked you'd be lucky just to get a crime number for the insurance. They don't turn out for car theft, now regarded as a minor crime, they definitely wouldn't show up for a bike thief.

It was the same with these guys.

The cops weren't going to act on the bike theft so these guys took it upon themselves and then got the cops when another crime, the sale of stolen goods, was in progress.

I bet if some English blokes called a bobby under the same circumstances, there would be the same result.

once you ride a premier bike you cannot turn back they reel you in and then they know you'll pay.

I would like to think so, but wouldn't want to put money on it. It's not their fault, I know through working with the police at times, that they get despondent letting the public down.
It's down to Government to put the right amount of money into it to catch the bad guys and more money into the prison service to house them when they are caught. At the moment, here in the UK, as the prisons are full and they won't fund building more ( in fact they are closing down the one nearest to me), the chances of being put away even if you do get caught are remote. And they wonder why the crime rate is rising.

It's the job of the government to protect it's citizens but once again the politicians are failing us.
