After living in a house with pregnant women and being around more of them than I care to remember I would have to agree. Although if the only level you reach is "smug" then count yourself lucky. There is also level "hellfire" where every word, emotion and action is designed to flay the flesh from your broken limbs as your heart and soul are eviscerated. Definitely not awesome.

although it's a rough, painful few months i would not care to endure, i gotta agree with DD, the hellfire stage is over the top.
