So, CNN plays "Stupid Girls" before a Palin story... Ok, *chuckle, chuckle*. Is that misogynistic? I'm sure our liberal friends would say "no way".
Someone uses Obama's full name and that's racist though? Cool.
[Music and lyrics]: Aha, aha. Stupid girl, stupid girls, stupid girls. Maybe if I act like that…
RANDI KAYE, ANCHOR: Sarah Palin is apparently hungry for chicken and controversy. She posted this on Twitter and Facebook: “Stopped by Chick-fil-A in the Woodlands to support a great business.” That is her and her husband Todd. Chick-fil-A has come under fire after, we were just telling you, after its president Dan Cathy came out in opposition to same-sex marriage. Several communities now trying to block Chick-fil-A from coming into their cities. Fellow Republican Mike Huckabee has organized that Chick-fil-A appreciation day scheduled for Wednesday.

I saw a perfect gift for mOOse, but I didn't buy it, because, well, I'm cheap.

I would say, "no way", because it's not misogynistic. If they had played that song before a montage of average women on the street, then yes, it would be misogynistic. But they played it before a piece on Bristol Palin, and since the Palin women are not known for their cranial capacity, it's simply honest reporting.
It is amazing to me that liberals are so brain-washed into thinking nothing they say has to be held to the same standards as they portray towards conservatives. Wow just wow

Umm... no. Not at all. Palin is over, or I'm over Palin; whichever it is, nothing that includes her matters at all to me.
As for businesses, every business has a story that includes their products and, as they wish, anything else. When they choose to tell me about anything else, then it's something I can consider. When they don't, then I can't. It's their choice whether they tell me. If Chik-fil-a chooses to tell me something about their business, it's hypocritical to say that I should simply ignore what they tell me.

No, not at all, it was quite accurate if you ask me!
What if they played it before a Kim Kardashian piece, would you still accuse it of being the M word? No, cuz Kim K is a stupid girl, and Sarah Palin has also proven her idiocy knows no limits.

It is not odd that the liberals were the one that stood for protecting all women from harm and insults. Then they claim it OK to insult a women who has different political views and make false claims about her.
Playing either song before either person is EXTREMELY disrespectful, and I agree that it does set up a double standard. If someone were to do something like that for a Democratic woman, there WOULD be a huge shit show about it.
Constantly repeating Obama's full name (for no other reason than his name being what it is) IS Racism. Give me a good, logical, fair minded reason why someone would need to stand up with a microphone in front of a crowd and say "BARACK! HUSSEIN! OBAMA!" over and over again. Tell me, what kind of point is being made by doing that? What cogent argument about his governing experience, qualifications, or fiscal abilities is being made here?
I would love to know it- as you didn't respond last time I asked this.
Lastly, as far as personal opinions go- Sarah Palin *IS* an idiot.
If a Democrat's unmarried daughter had gotten pregnant, you can bet your rear there'd be a long tirade about immoral Left Wingers.
Face it, both sides of the coin are shit-stained lying bastards, no better than the other side.
The American People are the ones who lose here- and until we can stop arguing amongst ourselves and insulting each other because we have tied ourselves so rigidly to an "us vs them" mentality, we will continue to get fucked over. Very few politicians actually give a shit what the American People think. The only one who immediately comes to my mind who is TRULY and ACTIVELY speaking out, is my home boy Bernie Sanders.

People still care about what Sarah Palin has to say?
I thought Michele Bachmann had usurped her as lead crazy lady from the Republicans.
(And this is just as disrespectful when The Roots played "Lyin' Ass Bitch" when Bachmann came onto Jimmy Fallon's show. So of course Sarah Palin will milk it for all it's worth.)
Just as expected. I'm glad you guys didn't disappoint. Although I will give Sisyphus for at least admitting its disrespectful. But the rest of you... If this were a liberal woman, you'd be singing a different tune. Especially if it had been Fox News. Jesus, Mary and Joseph, you'd have been foaming at the mouth.
As for using Obama's full name. Yeah, of course there's a message behind it. Racist? No. Not knowing a lot about him? Yeah. Dirty? I don't know... It is his name, after all.

I like Sarah Palin (but then I have a rural background and don’t automatically assume that all small town people are mentally defective). It’s too bad that she had to be part of the ticket that was up against the unstoppable ‘Yes We Can’, ‘Hope and Change’ juggernaut. You just can’t fight substantive arguments like those.
I also found it extremely funny to watch the race suddenly become Obama vs. Palin. Commentator after commentator belittled her as ‘just a small town Mayor’ or ‘just the Governor of a state with a low population’ while at the same time brushing off any comments about Obama’s lack of executive experience as racist.
The media attack on Sarah Palin has certainly been effective. I’ve personally spoken to quite a few people who really believe that she was the one who said ‘I can see Russia from my house’.
Was she ready for the national stage? Probably not. Could she have done better in interviews? Absolutely. I’d still take her over Obama every day of the week.
Palin bashers are by no means exclusively Democrats

Cheney believes Sarah Palin failed that test.
"I like Governor Palin. I've met her. I know her. She - attractive candidate. But based on her background, she'd only been governor for, what, two years. I don't think she passed that test…of being ready to take over. And I think that was a mistake."
Yep, Cheney said that. But do you think he thought Obama with NO leadership experience at all was the better alternative? I highly doubt it. So, lets keep it in perspective.

Well, apparently, the Democrats were right all along about Palin being unqualified.
Talk about killing Palin's ambition for higher office. Thanks, Dick!

I still don't like how they treated her after the elections though

This part of your post is def true. I mean very true in that what you are saying is accurate, people did go off the hog without researching what she actually said.
That being said, I'm from a very small town too. I don't assume small town folk are stupid. I assume people who act and talk like they're stupid are stupid.
My best friend is from Little Diomede Alaska, and it has a very close neighbor island called Big Diomede which is in Russian waters. Every so often, both the US and Russia allow the people of both islands to visit each other to keep their ties as they are descended from the same people.

I'm afraid we'll have to respectfully disagree here, man.
They were intentionally trying to hammer home the fact that his middle name was Hussein, when we were embroiled in a conflict with a country that had a dictator with Hussein in his name. They were obviously trying to tie him to that country on the basis of his name being the same, as though anyone with a middle-eastern name was going to turn out like Sadam. So while the statement itself may not be racist, the intention is to draw off of the racial fear of recent past experiences with similar people. And with that as the intent, it's espousing that behavior and reaction- and therefor just as bad.
