This is pretty much the present as it is, Corporate America has all our purchasing information.

I once got called in the middle of dinner by a Telemarketer, I'll give you a quick play by play:

"Hello Sir, May I ask how many televisions you have?"

Me: (said with a sneer): "Fifty. I have Fifty Televisions."

"Fifty, Sir?"

Me: "Yes. Fifty. Why?"

"Sir it says here that you have three Televisions."

Me: *ice cold rage* "Would you like to tell me how you have that information?"

"I can't tell you that." He then hung up on me.


Fun fact: They know everything about you, but when you want to know how they know, they're not legally allowed to tell you that.

Funny how that works isn't it? Your information can be bought and sold by corporate scum-fuckers but if you want to know who's buying it and selling it, suddenly it's illegal.
