A friend of mine in New York worked as a stripper. She did it to spend more time with her daughter. She worked two nights a week, and earned more money than I did. I'm an intelligent guy (most of the time), and believe me: if I had the looks and the body, I'd be a stripper, too. There's nothing wrong with showing off what you've got, and nothing wrong with making money doing it.

That is 39 people who may now turn to other even less salubrious work in an attempt to make ends meet.

That is 39 people who never did anything to you except offend your concept of what is right or wrong.

That is the children in 39 families who may have to go without because mummy is now out of work.

Aren't you proud that you have been able to strike such a devastating blow for your concept of morality. Never mind the pain and suffering you may have inflicted on these people. You have a moral victory.

I ride to Vegas a lot and always stay at the Hooters Casino, why? Because its cheap, hot chicks, cheap beer, hot chicks, decent rooms, and hot chicks. Now being an old fart; I'm treated pretty well, and can't complain about the service. If you don't like Hooters, then don't fucking go there, why people can't leave shit alone boggles me.

They closed the one in San Francisco due to high operating costs that come with doing business in SF and California. I go to the Dublin Location anyway.

Having previously worked in the food industry for 8 years I can tell you that the main reason such places close is because of "turnover" (If you read the article you noticed this mentioned). Turnover means a waitresses quit and a new one needs to be hired and trained. Constantly having to replace and train new waitresses is a strain that costs money for training and loss of repeat business. Regular customers will stop frequenting a place if their favorite server quits. In addition new waitresses basically suck at everything. They screw up orders, spill food, cant figure out the bill, under and over charge, dont know the menu so they cant answer questions, etc... A restaurant that becomes known for poor service is doomed.

Restaurants that have a sexual theme tend to have high turnovers due to a higher probability of harrassment from customers. New waitresses dont know how to deal with such things and get frustrated. One bad customer can ruin your whole day. A bad customer that is also a regular is even worse. Never losing your smile is a key to good tips (or any tip) so getting pissed at one person and not transfering your anger to all the rest of your diners is HARD.

Another thing that makes new waitresses quit is favoritism, Especially from the hostess/seater. The hostess learns quickly who will tip well and who wont. She will often seat good tippers at her friends tables and the bad tippers at the tables of the waitresses she doesn't like.

edit: Oh and I'm not suprised BL is taking credit for something (that someone else did) that causes misfourtune to so many.
