Review Villager.


Villager - A Villager has no special abilities and must rely on their own intuition to find and kill the Werewolves. Each Villager must analyze the behavior and posts of the other players and try a guess which players are Werewolves. At the same time, trying not to get lynched by the other players.

Review Fortune Teller (Seer).


Fortune Teller (Seer) - Each Night Round the Fortune Teller (Seer) is allowed to "Peek" a player's true role in the game. To "Peek" a player, the Fortune Teller must sent a PM (Private Message) to the game host indicating the name of the player they wish to "Peek". At the start of the following Day Round, the game host will PM the Fortune Teller (Seer) revealing the true role of their chosen "Peek". In this version of the Werewolf game, there is only 1 Fortune Teller (Seer) per game. The Fortune Teller (Seer) must help the other Villagers to correctly identify and kill the Werewolves without in turn, being indentified as the Fortune Teller (Seer) by the Werewolves.

Review Cupido (Lovers).


Cupido (Lovers) - Cupido can pick any 2 players including himself or herself to be Lovers. During the first Night Round of the game, the player who is Cupido will send a PM (Private Message) to the game host indicating the names of 2 players. At the start of the following Day Round, the game host will PM (Private Message) the 2 players chosen to be Lovers. The Lovers cannot at anytime, even in jest, vote to lynch the other. If at any time, one Lover is killed, the other Lover immediately commits suicide out of grief.

Special Case - If one of the Lovers is a Werewolf and the other a Villager of some sort, the object of the game changes for these 2 players. In order for the Lovers to win the game, they must kill all of the other players including the other Werewolves.

Review Witch.


The Witch - The player who is the Witch knows how to make 2 powerful potions. The first is a Healing Potion which can be used to resurrect a player that is killed by a Werewolf. To use this potion, after the start of the Day Round and after the Werewolves kill has been announced by the game host, the player who is the Witch must send a PM (Private Message) to the game host indicating that the Witch would like to resurrect the Werewolves most recent kill. The second potion is a Poison that can only be used during the Night Round to kill a player. To use this potion, the player who is the Witch must send a PM (Private Message) to the game host indicating the name of the player they wish to Poison. The Witch may use either potion on himself/herself if he/she wishes.

Review Hunter.


Hunter - If the Hunter is killed by the Werewolves or lynched by the Villagers, he/she can retaliate. With the Hunter's dying breath, the Hunter shoots and kills one of his attackers. In the case of being killed by the Werewolves during the Night Round, a Werewolf is randomly selected by the game host and killed. In the case of the Hunter being lynched by the Villagers during the Day Round, the game host will randomly select one of the players who voted for the Hunter and kill them.

Note: This role has been modified for forum play. The original role description allows the Hunter to choose any player as his intended target and that player will immediately be killed. Since the Hunter may not be online at the time of his/her death and unable to give the name of an intended target immediately to the game host and to keep the game moving, the game host will randomly select a target as outlined above.

Review Thief.


Thief - If the Thief is used in the game, prior to the random assigning of roles by the game host, the game host will add 2 extra Villager roles to the intended role assignments. The game host will then randomly assign the roles to players. During the first Night Round, the game host will reveal the 2 extra remaining roles to the Thief. The player who is the Thief may trade his role for one of the 2 remaining roles if he/she so chooses. However, if the 2 remaining roles are both Werewolves, the Thief must take on the role of a Werewolf for the duration of the game.

Review Sheriff.


Sheriff - During the first Day Round, prior to the first Werewolf kill, all players will elect one player to be Sheriff. The player with the most votes is elected Sheriff and cannot refuse the role. The vote of the player who is elected Sheriff will count as 2 votes and both votes are always applied to a single player. Upon the death of the Sheriff, the Sheriff will name a successor who will then become the new Sheriff.

Werewolf - Each Night Round, the Werewolves bite, kill, and devour 1 player. During the Day Round, they try conceal their true identities and vile deeds from the other players. Depending upon the number of players participating in the game, there can be 1 - 4 Werewolves. A Werewolf cannot kill and devour another Werewolf during the Night Round.

Review White Wolf.


White Wolf - The White Wolf is a Werewolf that hates the other Werewolves as much as the Villagers. The White Wolf looks and acts like a normal Werewolf and will take part in the Werewolf kills during the Night Rounds. However, the White Wolf is able to kill a Werewolf every other Night Round if the White Wolf so chooses. The White Wolf is not required to kill a Werewolf on these nights, but may do so. The Werewolves will not know if a White Wolf is being used in the game. The White Wolf's goal is to be the sole survivor of the village.

Review Pyromaniac.


Pyromaniac - The Pyromaniac is, as his/her name describes, a player that likes likes to set things ablaze . Once per game, the Pyromaniac is allowed to burn down a building of his/her choosing during the Night Round. The Pyromaniac simply needs to Private Message (PM) the game host and state which building he/she would like to burn down. If the building is occupied by a player, that player will become a Vagabond the following Day Round. If the building is occupied by the intended victim of the Werewolves, one of the Werewolves is randomly selected by the game host and killed and the intended Werewolf victim survives.

Scandalmonger - During each and every Night Round, the player who is the Scandalmonger will Private Message (PM) the game host with the name of a player who occupies a building that the Scandalmonger believes to be a Werewolf. The following Day Round, the player named by the Scandalmonger will immediately have 2 votes against them in the Villager Voting. The Scandalmonger cannot choose a player that is a Vagabond. The Scandalmonger can also accuse the Bar Keep (The player occupying the Pub) even if the Bar Keep has not participated in the killing of a player.

Review The Farmers.


The Farmers - On the first Day Round while the Village is electing a Sheriff, the Farmers can only vote for a Farmer to be Sheriff. A Farmer can vote for another Farmer or vote for him/herself. If a Farmer is elected as Sheriff, the Sheriff upon his/her death must name another Farmer as a successor. Also, if a Farmer is elected Sheriff and all Farmers have been killed, no new successor can be named.

Review The Bonesetter.


The Bonesetter - At any point during a Day Round, the Bonesetter can give a Profession back it's special power that has already been used. The Bonesetter can only do this once per game and must do it during a Day Round.

Example: If the Confessor has already used his/her special power, to learn the role of another player during the Day Round, the Bonesetter can give the Confessor back his/her special power. The Confessor can immediately use his/her replenished power if he/she so chooses. The Confessor can only use this replenished special power once and must be used during a Day Round.

Review The Schoolmarm.


The Schoolmarm - During each and every Day Round, the Schoolmarm can prevent 2 players with Professions from being able to vote in the Villager Voting by posting the players names for all to see. The players who are prevented from voting can still take part in the discussion leading up to the lynching. The Schoolmarm cannot prevent a Vagabond from voting. However, the Schoolmarm cannot vote as well.

Review The Barber.


The Barber - During the Day Round of the Barber's choosing, the Barber can kill a player. If the player killed by the Barber is a Werewolf or White Wolf, the Barber survives. If the player killed by the Barber is anything but a Werewolf, the Barber is killed as well. The Barber cannot use his/her special power to kill a Vagabond. The Barber can only do this once per game and must be done during the Day Round.
