Rangel, Major and Revnd Al are wrong in what they said. Still no one said, at least not evidenced here that George Bush said that President Bush was a tyrant and wanted the people of the gulf coast to die. That is just nonsense.

You fully support the practice of interrupting the President at a joint session? That is something I can't get behind. It is, and was stupid. The ballot box is the answer for that. Like him or not, our elected leader is just that.

There is no question that these Democrats are wrong. George Bush was not a good president, he did not handle Katrina well but it was because he was ill prepared, not because the people involved were black.

Calling the President a liar at a joint session is something that only the Republicans can lay claim to. It should feel shameful but will probaby feel like a badge of honor, that is too bad.

Jd and his final bow out to this forum was also a shame, he is/was so much better than his final efforts at name calling that it tarnishes his reputation. The entire child molestor discussion is something that he will have to answer for and was useless as far as positive discussion goes.

Popo I don't know you and maybe I will like you maybe not. I never shied from his responses, often embraced them. "WE ALL" as you say, means who?

You might be an MPD, who knows. I'm just a stubborn hack? A hack that IS, IWP and countless others have good conversations with. Not sure what your problem is, don't know you at all but if you would rather voluntarily get banned than continue a conversation then maybe I know all I need to know.

i don't usually ban people for good for outbursts like that. so i've removed mrpopo from Master Debaters for a month, so if he decides he wants to come back and keep posting later he can. of course if he really wants to be banned from the forums he can let me know.

Just because the people I quoted didnt say the word "tyrant" doesn't mean they still were not implying it... they compared him to someone that was for all practicat purpose a horrible leader and one that sicked dogs on black citizens for protesting their mistreatment... So to compare him to that and to also say he is some how worse is attempting to paint him as worse than that man and that he has so little regard for human life or black human life that he would intentionally withhold resources / response to the people of the gulf coast....

So yes they didnt use the WORD but they did still say he didnt want them to live and he intentionally used his powers or withheld them to punish the people of that area because of there race...

As for the shouting... I mentioned I dont agree with that representative that the president was or is a liar.. I do agree and wish that congress and the american people in general could treat the president and congress in the same way in which the brit treat their elected officials & how they congress can interact with each other...

They can interrupt them, curse them or tell them shut the hell up in session if they have the desire.. For a nation founded on the principles of the "Republic" to now treat our Executive and other elected officials as royalty is just silly to me...

I have no problems with the going against bush .. I like the guy that threw a shoe at him. I haven't defended the GOP in this, I have pointed out they are just as messed up as the DEMs.

The GOP did the same BS to clinton some of the DEMs did to bush during the iraq 2.0 war.. Did they actually give a shit? probably not..it was just politics.
