Call to St. Louis home results in charges of child porn, sex with dog

ST. LOUIS • A St. Louis woman pleaded guilty Monday to performing sex acts on her dog and was sentenced to 120 days jail.

Dana Kintz, 28, called police March 12 to her home in the 4000 block of Russell Boulevard, alleging that her boyfriend Shawn Ingram, 37, had punched and slapped her. Police said they found child pornography on Ingram's cellphone and images of Kintz engaged in sex acts with the couple's dog.

Both were charged with unlawful sex with an animal, a misdemeanor. Ingram also was charged with felony possession of child pornography.

Officials said there was sufficient evidence to charge Kintz as a willing participant, although she claimed Ingram had coerced her behavior, and made her wear a dog collar and mask during one of the incidents.

St. Louis Circuit Court Judge Michael Stelzer allowed the 68 days Kintz has spent in jail awaiting trial to count toward her sentence. Prosecutors had asked for a year. Ingram's case is ongoing.

Biblical - That's not a crime. It's a sin. Different thing entirely.
Morally - We are not the keepers of other peoples morals.
Infectious disease - Very few diseases will cross the species barrier. Swine flu and bird flu being notable exceptions.
Disgusting - From your point of view (and mine, actually) yes, but being disgusting is not a crime.
Cruelty to Animals - Only if the dog didn't consent. He may have enjoyed it.

It's only a crime because it's on the books as a crime. In some countries, fornication with animals is legal. (Still disgusting, but legal.)
