Cure for Cancer?

Ladies and gentlemen it's time after the many awards we've giving out over the course of these last two hours. It's time for the award we've all been waiting for the award for the biggest load of bullshit. (Opens envelope) And the award goes to Rick Simpson!

Cannabis has it's place in medicine but to claim it can cure cancer as well as all the other diseases it could cure is misleading and frankly dangerous. He claims to have evidence that hemp oil works. Well what evidence he filmed a bunch of people claiming to have a disease and then miraculously curing said disease with hemp oil. That isn't evidence as for all we know they could have been on hundreds of other different drugs. The only evidence which is even relevant in situations like this is a full clinical trial.

Some types of cancers have receded in some cases where the patient has been using cannabis.

The same happens to some religious people who think its God answering their prayer, or people who go to the Amazon jungle to get some voodoo cure from a witchdoctor.

The fact is, sometimes cancer just goes away for no reason at all, and patients who have been given a death sentence by Doctors sometimes live on for 20 years, or more.

The alternative medicine industry also claims Apricot kernels cure cancer.

The reason all this is bullshit is because these "natural" cancer cures can never prove their effectiveness in clinical trials.

(Don't Get Me Started on the "Natural" shit...)

There are a thousands of terminal cancer patients that use cannabis for pain and appetite stimulation.

So if it cured the condition, I think there would be reasonable evidence of it by now, and there just isn't.

I understand that there is research that suggest cannabis may have anti-carcinogenic properties in some circumstances, but that is a far cry from the propaganda in that video.

Being a person who has cancer and is fighting it as of today, I am sooooooooo for being able to smoke pot and whether or not it cures my cancer, it sure makes life easier at times. Call me nutty..........call me whatever you want, Im good with that.......until you are in the position you can never know what you would actually agree with, or do.................that is something I now know.
