when posting stuff in the funhouse, especially things like cartoons, comics, article, etc please try to include a link to the source site whenever possible. most of the guys who run these sites (eg cyanide & happiness, the oatmeal, etc) are fine with small amounts of their work being spread around as long as they get something out of it, ie a link back.

it only takes a second to include a link, and it's a win/win situation both for those who made the content (as they get a chance to attract more fans) and the people viewing your thread (if they liked what they saw, they have an option to check out the original site for more similar stuff).

at the very least, please don't crop watermarks from the pictures. the only time this doesn't apply is when the watermark is done by a run of the mill "fun" site (ie not the site that made the content but a site that actually steals the pics in the first place and then slaps their watermark on them in hopes that their version of the pics get spread around and they get more traffic). if in doubt though, just leave the watermark intact. also if the original poster didn't include a link, but you know the site the content came from, you're encouraged to post a link to it as a reply.
