Tag Games Pc Unanswered: changing file types

I recently downloaded a game but I'm unable to play it because it plays in adobe shockwave but some files are opening in adobe reader x, how do I change them to open the way I need them to open? I've tried right clicking to "open with..." but shockwave isn't an option.

try this:

right click
Open with
Choose Default Program
Browse

Then find the shockwave players . e x e file

And if you unselect the tab box for "Always use this program to open this type of file" option it won't screw over any file associations at all.

That's the problem, I tried to right click on the files and "open with..." and shockwave wasn't in the list. When I try to search for shockwave, nothing comes up.

If you have shockwave installed on your system there must be a folder somwhere with it's execuatable file in it. Check under adobe as well macromedia for it.

The browse command should open a standard file browser window for you to navigate through.

Usual placment I think might be in C:\Program Files\Adobe and then whatever it might be. Or might be in C:\Windows\System32\

Failing that try a search for it via the start button "shockwave.e x e" - that should tell you where it is and then you can navigate there via the Browse option in the Choose Default Program entry.
