The United States, so far, is essentially following the usual playbook. I mean, there have been many times when some favored dictator has lost control or is in danger of losing control. There’s a kind of a standard routine – Marcos, Duvalier, Ceausescu, Suharto, strongly supported by the United States and Britain: keep supporting them as long as possible; then, when it becomes unsustainable – switch 180 degrees, claim to have been on the side of the people all along, erase the past, and then make whatever moves are possible to restore the old system under new names. All the while, most of the American population are too busy watching horror movies, to know what's really going on.
There's a lot of fucks in this thread.

So fuckin' true.
Please add Noriega. People seem to forget that before he became the "enemy" that madman was one of Washington's favorite.
The American public are sheep. They believe what they're told by the media. They're too lazy to research they're own opinions. Gaddafi gave up his terror shit right after the invasion of Iraq because he knew he was in line for a tomahawk up his ass. Why people weren't screaming when the US got involved in Libya's civil war, I do not understand. All I know is that US is going and looking in the wrong direction....just a matter of time before we're smacked in the head from behind again.
If you don't like a thread, and have nothing to add to it, then just don't say anything. Otherwise, all you'll end up doing is just insulting the thread poster, and everyone else on it as well. Now you may not care about all those dead people, but maybe you could just pretend they were all actors, singers, or sports players. Then you could find it easier to give a fuck and make an RIP thread for them. Because as far as Spanky and I are concerned, athletes, actors and singers don't do anything for anyone.

Actually, I think bigdan was reacting to my query, not the topic in general.
Now that he knows you give a fuck he might call on you, you know.
